COPENHAGEN， Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- British rock band Radiohead will headline the NorthSide music festival in the Danish city of Aarhus in June next year， the festival organizer announced on Tuesday.
"We are proud and honored that Radiohead has agreed to play NorthSide this summer. It is a dream come true for us and we look forward to sharing it with our audience this summer，" festival spokesman John Fogde said in a statement.
Fogde also revealed that the band will play the closing show on Sunday night at the three-day event from June 9 to 11.
Founded in 2010 as a one-day music event， NorthSide has gained more and more popularity over the years and now it has grown to a three-day festival over the past three years in Denmark's second largest city on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula.
"It will be fantastic end to NorthSide 2017 with such a large international act as Radiohead，" Aarhus mayor Jacob Bundsgaard said in a statement.
